La Osteopatía

La Osteopatía es una Terapia de abordaje Manual, cuyo objetivo es reequilibrar los distintos sistemas del cuerpo, articulaciones, músculos, ligamentos, circulación, tejido conjuntivo y vísceras para la prevención, conservación y mejora de la salud.

La osteopatía se puede dividir en tres ramas :

Osteopatía estructural. Está basada en el concepto del cuerpo como unidad, todas las estructuras deben estar en conexión y alineadas para mantener el cuerpo sano y en equilibrio. Se emplea para corregir disfuncionalidades relacionadas con los músculos y el esqueleto.

Osteopatía visceral. Se centra en favorecer la movilidad y funcionalidad de las vísceras y los órganos vitales como el estómago, el páncreas, el aparato reproductor, etc. El osteópata, una vez detectadas las vísceras afectadas, tratará de estimularlas y rehabilitarles su movilidad fisiológica primaria.

Osteopatía craneal. Esta técnica favorece la movilidad del líquido cefaloraquídeo. El cráneo tiene su propio movimiento a través de las suturas de los huesos que lo conforman. Estos movimientos se producen a un ritmo regular gracias a la fluctuación del líquido cefaloraquídeo, pero si este ritmo se altera, daría lugar a patologías que afectan el cuerpo entero. El tratamiento de esta técnica consiste en que el osteópata por medio del tacto, puede percibir las alteraciones en el ritmo de fluctuación del líquido y realizar las correcciones oportunas para restaurar el ritmo regular.

The ostheopathy

Osteopathy is a Manual Therapy approach, which aims to rebalance the various body systems, joints, muscles, ligaments, circulation, connective tissue and viscera for the prevention, preservation and improvement of health.

Osteopathy can be divided into three branches:

Structural osteopathy. It is based on the concept of the body as a unit, all structures must be connected and aligned to keep the body healthy and in balance. It is used to correct dysfunctionalities related to the muscles and skeleton.

Visceral osteopathy. It focuses on favoring the mobility and functionality of the viscera and vital organs such as the stomach, pancreas, reproductive system, etc. The osteopath, once the affected viscera are detected, will try to stimulate them and rehabilitate their primary physiological mobility.

Cranial osteopathy. This technique favors the mobility of the cerebrospinal fluid. The skull has its own movement through the sutures of the bones that form it. These movements occur at a regular rhythm thanks to the fluctuation of the cerebrospinal fluid, but if this rhythm is disturbed, it would give rise to pathologies that affect the entire body. The treatment of this technique consists in that the osteopath, by means of touch, can perceive the alterations in the fluctuation rhythm of the liquid and make the appropriate corrections to restore the regular rhythm.
